BarbaraBB Is the book good? 4y
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 4y
jenniferw88 @BarbaraBB YES! It probably would have been better to start at the beginning of the series (this is #10), but it's not the end of the world. It does end on a cliffhanger though. 4y

TheAromaofBooks Oh wow the cover for The Falcons of Fire & Ice is gorgeous!

Also still snickering about your parents being worried about your excited squealing. 😂

Father Brown Stories | G. K. Chesterton
post image

I‘m reading a book in the Father Brown series by G.K. Chesterton on the recommendation of Tsh Oxenreider. She shared about these short stories on her podcast, The Good List, which I highly recommend. I‘ve read two stories in this collection so far and look forward to the rest. If you are having trouble concentrating, this might hit the spot. #BookishEncouragement #FridayReads

@klarusu @veritysalter @ElaineR do you fancy any of these? They all work for #readingeurope2020 - tagged one works for Finland.

Will tag the others and countries in comments so that you can read the blurbs.

ElaineR Priest of evil or burial rites sound particularly good. Happy with whatever though. 5y
veritysalter All look good to me, I‘m doing Reading Europe too and happy to include a lint of those. 5y
ElaineR @veritysalter is the reading Europe thing by author bitth or about the country? I could try to find some that fit into that. 5y
ElaineR *birth not bitth 5y
veritysalter @ElaineR I think you can chose, but I‘m trying to do author and setting. I‘m not doing well only Sweden and Germany (plus UK) dome so far. 5y
jenniferw88 @ElaineR It's entirely up to the reader - I'm doing combination (author or setting) like Verity. I'm doing even worse - only Latvia done so far! 5y
ElaineR @jenniferw88 @veritysalter I'll see what I can do. Of course when the time comes I may well totally disregard it 😉 5y
jenniferw88 @ElaineR that's fine by me - just thought it might be helpful for those of us doing the challenge. 5y
Deifio Does Aserbaijan count as Europe? I always thought of it more of a western Asia country. 5y
jenniferw88 @Deifio it's on the list, so yes for this challenge. 5y
klarusu I‘m definite interested in When Doves & Burial Rites. Open to Priest of Evil. I‘m truly not a romance reader so not so much Ali & Nino. Really, open to any though - always happy to read something someone else liked. 5y

#readingeurope2020 @squirrelbrain & other UK littens only (sorry!)

These are the books on my shelves that I have planned for this challenge - do we match on any and are any of them ones you need to get? I'd also be willing to send on after I've read it.

@BarbaraBB @Librarybelle

Librarybelle That‘s so nice of you! It looks like good titles to read for the challenge, too! 5y
squirrelbrain Ha! This spreadsheet thing is catching! None match mine at the moment, but I can always change my mind 😁 Loved loved loved Hedgehog! Thanks for the card and bookmark too! 😘 5y
jenniferw88 @squirrelbrain @BarbaraBB @Librarybelle photo above is updated as I found more books on my shelves! 😂😂😂 5y
BarbaraBB I need to screenshot this! And I‘ll take a picture of my list as well! 5y
youneverarrived I might read The Bear & the Nightingale as I‘ve had that for a while. 5y

Pickpick

This was just perfect and simple detective story to listen to! I've been getting to know the war time Helsinki better lately and this was set in the correct time period (few years after war). I know these characters already from my childhood and it was nice to get to know them in the book form as well. I'm used to seeing them in movies. 😊

Next up a Finnish classic. Old and pessimistic detective works on a murder case. This has been sitting on my shelf for ages and now I'm using my Bookbeat deal to go through books in audio form and decide wheter I'd like to keep them. I feel good about my plan to clean up some room for new finds. 📚 😊
