Things I cannot do so far: drink from a cup. But a straw works.
In the 12th addition to the Daisy Dalrymple series, Daisy finds a sore tooth can be deadly…when she discovers her dentist dead. What transpires is a set of lies and secrets that Daisy has to unravel. A great addition to the series, and Daisy knows just how to wheedle information out of suspects!
Doctor De Soto is a MF picture book about a mouse dentist that is the best in town but refuses to treat “dangerous” animals. But when a Fox shows up and needs his help, what will Dr. Soto do? This book is best enjoyed as an ID. Here is an activity sheet to help students make predictions about the story http://www.judynewmanatscholastic.com/blog/2020/03/doctor-de-soto-classroom-acti...
I think everyone may know the MF book, and the series of Little Critter! Little Critter stories are great to introduce kids to the different parts of growing up, like this one is all about going to the dentist! This book is great for younger readers, and would be beneficial to them by doing a PR! Students can practice reading together while also learn about real-life things. https://www.readingrockets.org/strategies/partner_reading #ucflae3414sp21
Definitely one of his darker books maybe not for those who have a phobia of dentists 😂 . I hadn‘t realised until we had finished this that the reading age is recommended 9-12 🤦♀️ no wonder I was skipping over passages about the tooth fairy being not real 🧚♀️
Saying that my daughter loved it and I‘m hoping it‘s made her want to keep her teeth extra clean 😂
My cousin utilised her covid downtime by digitally drawing this for me. That‘s my 2yo with his favourite book. Written on top is his first full sentence-“Let‘s read a book.” 🥰
