pickSo good. I can‘t say more without spoilers but I don‘t think I‘ve ever listened to an audiobook that fast. I went on extra walks so I could get more listening time. I don‘t read a lot of suspense, but after this I probably will pick up more. I‘ll definitely queue up the series. A bit morbid at times and some body horror vibes, so be warned if you‘re squeamish.
pick“The dead don‘t talk. I don‘t know why.” But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant.
I really enjoyed this story. The writing was great, and I really like the main character. Look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I‘m so excited! I read this book when it was new, early 1990s. After a long search, I finally found a copy to purchase and it arrived today. With a bit of Toy Story, a touch of hero‘s journey, it‘s a story I‘ve long remembered. When a toy maker dies before he can inform his replacement, his toys have to trek across town to tell her. But the evil toys from the former toy maker locked in the basement for decades have sent for an evil toy maker.

I didn‘t have a lot of reading time this week so I didn‘t get to reach my thirty-six hour goal. Made it to almost nineteen hours.
I got a couple more hours of reading done last night to finish Odd Thomas.
