I visited a new used bookstore in my area today, and this is what I bought. I'm seriously considering joining my state's chapter of the Jane Austen Society of North America. It just seems like it might be fun.

Final installment of Darcy's story. I really enjoyed this one! I loved being able to see his reaction to Elizabeth's words and how he comes to terms with his faults and tries to become a better man. Also his relationship with Georgiana was so wonderful. I liked how he went from being her guardian to trusting in each other as confidants. Definitely a lovely series to accompany my beloved Pride and Prejudice ❤️
The 2nd book in this Darcy trilogy takes place in the time between his visits to Netherfield and Rosings. It delves into his growing feelings for Elizabeth and his struggle between duty to his family and desire for her. It was interesting to see this perspective since in P&P his strong feelings seem to come from nowhere. A lot of his time is spent trying to get over her in a gothic castle with some sketchy school friends and mysterious happenings

Darcy and Elizabeth set off on an expedition to Egypt accompanied by their 6 children, Colonel Fitzwilliam's younger brother (who is seeking a lost tomb), the youngest Miss Lucas, an artist and a possibly possessed ancient Egyptian doll. Mrs. Bennet stows away and Wickham hovers around the edges, being not quite enough of the dastardly drama queen. A relatively pleasant interlude, but I missed sharp-witted Lizzy (altogether too much fond gazing).
Weekend reading~
Planning on finishing these two books today. :D
