so-soA decent book about DaVinci‘s paintings and sketches. It provides a brief overviews about his works during different time periods and locations. Pictures of his gorgeous art are the highlights of this book. This book has been on my shelf for a very long time. There are definitely better books about daVinci available. #MountTBR

pickMatteo enters Da Vinci's service after being saved from drowning. He initially simply wants to escape a murderous pursuer, but soon becomes fascinated with Da Vinci's work, especially the anatomical side which he marries with his grandmother's folkloric medicine and herbalism. But Matteo is not who he seems...
An enjoyable story that stretches across a number of interesting points in the Italian Renaissance, but I wanted a bit more heart.
We went to the local history museum because they have a current "please touch" exhibition about Da Vinci's ideas and inventions. The local history part was very interesting but my daughter only let me look at it briefly, she desperately wanted to get to the Da Vinci part.

Not much reading today. We are at the Science and Technology Musem to see the Da Vinci exhibit and my son was adamant that his grandmother visit the Crazy Kitchen. What fun!
