so-soGorgeous art undone by a script that just Never. Stops. Talking. Riley Rossmo is a phenomenal pick for a book like this, but his excellent character designs and atmospheric horror are frequently undermined by a script that just can‘t seem to let the art do the explaining. I don‘t blame Ming Doyle for this, as her co-writer - James Tynion III - has this problem regularly on his books. Promising, but disappointing.
pickThis was such a great book. I loved the story and the artwork was really gritty and dark. It also had small bits of comic relief to balance out the very dark main character.
