Here's my review of A Christmas Carol. I loved it! I loved it so much more than l expected!
And it gave me such respect for Dickens. I learned a few things about him as a man thanks to @KVanRead beautiful posts, discovering quite an awesome human being beyond the author.

I'm know it was supposed to end yesterday, but really l could put in any read in the last few days.
Finished it tonight and loved it! It's been one of my favourite stories since l was a kid, but this is the first time l read the book and the very first time l read Dickens. l can't even tell you how much l enjoyed it.
Why on earth have l wanted so long to read Dickens?

My grandma passed away at the beginning of December and the next day I made her fruitcake recipe before heading home to be with my family. This evening before all the craziness of Christmas Day, this is how I remember her. I finished rereading a wonderful Christmas story that reminds us of the importance of caring for those around you while you have the chance, and I had a slice of fruitcake.

Since Mr. Scrooge and Mr. Grinch both start out as mean curmudgeons who change at Christmas, I think Scrooge and A Christmas Carol work well for today's musical prompt. ??Happy Christmas Eve-Eve and as Tiny Tim would say, "God bless us every one! "?❤️

So true and so sad....but as Scrooge, ignore them and do good anyway.

I completely enjoyed re-reading this classic this year on a countdown to Christmas....honestly I think it‘s become more meaningful as the years have passed and especially this year with its message of caring and compassion for our fellow men and women.

I though I knew my mythology fairly well, but this name I had to look up, and the original story doesn‘t jog my memory either.... so new one for me today! Although I‘m not exactly sure how his overabundance of emotions quite fits that myth, at least by the tiny summary they gave in the definition, I guess I‘ll have to do some more searching after I finish this book.
