Book two of the Left Behind series for #SeriesLove2025.
I felt an urge to finish/reread this series from recent events. I've only made it 2/3 of the way through the series and it's been long enough that I need to start over rather than continuing. @Andrew65

#BookedInTime The Golden Age of Piracy February 2025
@cuilin @dabbe
Across the Ages: dual timeline (1727 and 1927) and time travel; that is right up my alley.
The Pirate Bride: I loved the characters in this novel. However, I'm not a fan of age gap romance so that brought it down for me.

Cute epistolary novel about two people who connect through an online dating site. Izzy lives in North Carolina and Brodie lives on a tiny island. I loved their mutual Lord of the Rings obsession and passion for books. I did feel like it should‘ve been edited down and quite a bit of family back-and-forth could‘ve been cut. A fun read with a subplot of great family supporting each other, just went on a bit too long.

This was a great retelling of the Biblical story of Tamar.

Fourteen year old Tamar is betrothed to Ur, the son of Judah. She is terribly mistreated by her husband and mother in law.

Worst of all, she is left widowed and childless.

Tamar does what she feels is best to insure an heir for the family of Judah.

Daylight stretched long over the base, casting sharp shadows where memories of Faith stood watch. The sun rose as ordered, the world moved as it must, but without her, even the clearest day felt hollow. Missing you, Faith.

The roar of gunfire and the acrid scent of burning sand filled the air as Staff Sergeant Ryan “Hawk” Hawkins crouched behind a crumbling stone wall, his rifle locked and loaded. Beside him, a lean, scarred Belgian Malinois named Trinity stood tense, ears pricked, waiting for the signal. The dog had been his partner through two deployments, her keen instincts and unwavering loyalty saving his life more times than he could count.

A few years ago a simple conversation over a shared favorite author became a 6/year book club and I couldn't be more thankful for the deep friendships and community we have built. I got to host last night and my Forever Friends were over for 5 hours, leaving at 11pm. I know it's different for business and library book clubs, but for those that meet in homes how long do your discussions last? (P.S. this includes a carry-in supper)

CrowCAH Me and my Bookclub peeps @VioletCavalier @hkapusta @WonderingGypsy @CKBrooke just had an in house discussion which lasted five hours, with a potluck dinner! Typically we meet at a restaurant or have an activity, so it‘s more 2-3 hours in length. 1mo

Reread (2012, 2025)
I love all the Forever Friends, but Katie is my favorite. She grows up so much in this, her own series, while also remaining her authentic self.
