Bk2 of May is done! I‘m both happy to have finished a book but heartbroken that there will never be another DCI Banks novel. And the ending seemed very abrupt, like he was still writing it when he died, or was on the final draft. Don‘t get me wrong, it was a brilliant story set in two time periods, but it seemed like there should‘ve been another chapter at least! And I‘ll never get Annie‘s ending story or Winsomes or Banks!🥲 #SeriesLove2024

Lizpixie I might go back to the beginning and reread all 28 books!🙌 5d

Though darkly disturbing, I really couldn‘t stop listening to this one. Sara and her husband have moved to Northern Ireland for a fresh start in an old home that her father-in-law got for a steal because of its history. And it‘s that history that pulls Sara back into herself when the former owner appears, making cryptic comments. There‘s a lot of violence— particularly against women, but this makes for a compelling listen that is well-performed.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

This was SO good. Super dark, triggers abound, but I really rooted for Sally ♥️ Definitely a bit of a dark Eleanor Oliphant! @AmyG thanks for sending me Unraveling Oliver as I wouldn‘t have picked this one up if you hadn‘t! 😘 #readyourkindle

I stumbled upon the short story that looks at Agatha‘s first case, way before she moves to the Cotswolds. It was okay. Short stories are hard for me, as I much prefer the development from a novel, but it was an interesting intro to Agatha Raisin. The audio is not a Penelope Keith audio, so I really missed her narration of this. #BBRC #Adult #LongStoryShort #52BookClub24 #AnApostropheInTheTitle

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! 3mo
LibrarianRyan Really. I had no idea this novella existed. Inusually love novellas. I like to see what an author can do in such few pages. 2mo
Librarybelle @LibrarianRyan It came out a few years ago, before Beaton passed away. Her last few books she wrote were not the best in the series. 2mo

This was a triksy story! 2 detectives are called in for the murder of a night guard at a wealthy high rise. Their investigation brings up all kinds of side issues, but the ending surprised me. A
