A modern fairy tale. A literary love story. Mostly set in Burma. A beautiful example of how people from different cultures make decisions in vastly different ways. Had the pleasure of meeting the author at Booktopia Bellingham hosted by Books on the Nightstand and Village Books. #FlowersOnCovers #FeistyFeb
Dogearedcopy Hey! I was at #BooktopiaWA too! I moderated the first session with Jan Philip-Sendker! ❤❤❤❤❤ 8y
DogMomIrene @Dogearedcopy Small world! I had not read his book before Booktopia, so I was ready for discussions that could "spoil details" for me, the unprepared. I cannot remember if anyone discussed the resolution or any little details, but I do remember leaving psyched to read this book. A book I probably would not have picked up without a bookish community to recommend it. Thanks for leading the conversation! I remember loving the experience! 8y
Sweettartlaura Hey, @ocdIrene & @Dogearedcopy I'm in WA State, too - down in #tacoma - what is this booktopia of which you speak & when is it happening again? 🙂📚 8y

Dogearedcopy @Sweettartlaura Booktopia was a fantastic event run by @Annkingman & @mkindness (Books on the Nightstand podcast.) It was a meetup of authors, readers, dinners, drinking, and games! Sadly, the last BOTNS Booktopia was in 2015; but the Northshire Bookstore in Manchester, VT carries on the tradition at their space every May now. 8y
Sweettartlaura @Dogearedcopy Ahh... Too bad 😕. Thanks for the info! 8y
DogMomIrene @Dogearedcopy Thank you for fielding the Booktopia question! Life got busy and I'm just now back on Litsy🙂 8y
DogMomIrene @Sweettartlaura If you're up for traveling, anyone can attend the Northshire Bookstore's event. I signed up for their newsletter and as of a few days ago, they still had tickets for this May's Booktopia. I can't go this May, but SO and I are hoping/saving for 2018. 8y
