pickBooks like this get devoured in a few days. With my heart in my throat and bated breath, I was turning pages. Terms like MASCAL and napalm are now seared in my brain. There *were* women in Vietnam and their courageous, heartbreaking, life changing stories have to be told. Before they are forgotten. This is the best author for such a task. pickI actually finished this book shortly after posting the quote from it. 🙃 The story of her growth stayed with me. Discovering such a thing about her father, relearning herself, the advent of the internet 🛜 and the place it has in our world. A fascinating narrative of intrigue and suspense. pickThis book was amazing. I found the idea of augmented veins fascinating (as well as the powers that come with it) and the espionage associated with the MC force-joining the team for training, and the development of the main couple (no spoilers). I am excited to see where this goes, with the cliffhanger at the end. #romance #bookofthemonth #fantasy 💙
