This has been sitting on my shelves for years. I can‘t even remember where it came from.

What a well written and devastating story of love and loss.

The tiny island of Janus off the coast of Australia is almost its own character, as is the lighthouse there. The little family that lived there tried my ideas of right and wrong and had me reaching for tissues.

I haven‘t seen the movie. I might look for it.

Penny_LiteraryHoarders Loved this book! The movie was okay, but like all movies based off books so much seemed to be missing. But there is one scene that Alicia Vikander is really brilliant in acting out. 4y

Hooked_on_books I really liked this book! I read it on the train from Anchorage to Denali on vacation a couple years ago and was torn between being absorbed by the book and the scenery! 4y
