Pickpick

I ate this one up. I was a little worried that it might not do well as an audiobook, but it actually worked out okay. It was a lovely, curated trip through some of the most influential inventors and she even highlights inventions patented by kids. This would be a fun STEM book to use with kids in a homeschool or co-op school setting. This would even be great for summer activities with kids. Even as an adult, I enjoyed this one tremendously.

GingerAntics I saw a lot of myself in Temple Grandin‘s discussion of building things from her imagination from whatever she could find as a kid. I did the same thing as a kid, so I think that little inventing, building inner child greatly enjoyed this book (which is probably why I inhaled it in less than 2 days). 1y

Though sad and frustrating at times I believe this is a particularly good look at how autism has effected the particular kids this book is about as teenagers. Being a teenager is a particularly emotional and frustrating time and that shows in the book.
I only wish there were more books like this, written by and from the perspective of the people with autism so we could see a wider ranger of experiences captured in writing.

Not a great shot here because the power is out and I'm reading by the light from the window. So far this is a good read and will likely be useful information for me at work.

Day 4 of #AcrossApril reminds us that this is #AutismSpectrumDisorder awareness month. I don't have any books in my collection yet for this prompt, so I drew a bookshelf full of ASD authors. I didn't do MUCH research, so the only one I can guarantee is #csu professor Temple Grandin's Thinking in Pictures! #coloradolocal #autism #ASD Sorry it's hard to read because it's small and I'm dyslexic! XD

Eggs Great job 👏🏻👌🏼🤗👏🏻 5y
