It‘s a book I don‘t regret reading but would not really recommend. Good ideas but the writing was lackluster. The dialogue in this book was truly horrendous. There was not any character development. The climax of the book fell flat because the tension wasn‘t there. Overall, ⭐️⭐️. #hauntedshelf #blackcatcrew

Run | Blake Crouch
Pickpick

I ended up packing this as a vacation book to read and devoured it before the plane landed - it was a short book to be fair! But if you‘ve ever read Blake Crouch then you‘re familiar with how immersive his books can be - I just couldn‘t stop reading. It may not have been my favorite of his works but I would recommend it!

Just another blurry Kindle excerpt. Imagine public television surviving a pandemic style disaster. #publictelevision

Actual doctor walks reader through the great unknown fictional apocalyptic event: Zombies. Wow! So science is explained on the level of potential infections (of actual body parts!). With concurrent UN documentation, it felt more authentic than your straight up ‘zombie!‘ Because it had science. A+ (my biology grade in Zombiology if taken in high school). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This brutal, dystopia story follows Wonder Woman after she wakes from a cryogenic sleep to a barren Earth. As she tries to put together the pieces of her memory, she struggles with her torn allegiance to humans and her sisters. Great story well written, with stunning art that reminds me of Paul Pope.

SciFi/Creature/Cosmic Horror. I didn't know anything going into this, other than it was suggested for a summer horror read. A low pick. War of the Worlds, meets Predator, meets Castaway. Very suspenseful.

ShelleyBooksie Is this one gory? 3mo
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego @ShelleyBooksie No, more suspense and dread. 3mo
ShelleyBooksie Thanks @StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego - I love a suspenseful and creepy book, just don't like gore. 3mo
Reggie I loved this one so much. 3mo
