I loved this book!! Very short, but a great time. I had to read Fall of the House of Usher in college and I don‘t remember a lot, but I think this book did Poe justice. A nonbinary main character, fungi, and a ghostly mystery reminiscent of Mexican Gothic.

I really enjoyed this book. There were three stories in the middle I didn‘t vibe well with, but all of the others were beautiful and a joy to read. The representation, from own-voices authors and LGBT+ romances made this such a lovely time.

This was really the best story they could‘ve ended on. The worldbuilding and the characters were masterfully crafted. It was empowering and emotional, and such a great end to the anthology.

As an older sister, this one hit hard. The way Emery Lord dealt with an abusive relationship too was marvelously done. I‘m very sad the book will be over soon.

This one also broke my heart just a little. I have had a great time with all the casual representation, and then you add casual trans-ness in such a beautiful way?? There are some not-great stories in this book, but the more I read, the higher my rating gets.

I‘ve literally only read Brenna Yovanoff in short story anthologies, and I‘ve loved her in both stories. It‘s her writing and her characters and the way she unspools the story in winding strips…

So far, my least favorite. There were too many characters for the length of the story, and the pacing was strange, to say the least. I liked the casual mention of mobility aids, but this felt like something I‘d read in middle school, not something geared towards young adults.

Another great graphic novel! I love Yonna and all her friends. Since this is #1, I‘m hoping they make more. I know there‘s comics out there post this book, though, so I might go looking.
