The Mad Ship | Robin Hobb

I loved the relationship between Ronica Vestrit and her daighters, Althea and Keffria. It felt very true to many mother-daughter relationships I've seen in real life, and the love, but also annoyance between the characters were very relatable 👌

My favourite literary mother & daughter combination is the one between Phryne Fisher and her two adopted daughters Jane & Ruth.Phryne didn't have a maternal bone in her body,but rather than seeing the girls end up in welfare,she takes them in and falls in love with being a mum.The girls are smart,especially Jane who is genius level smart,and they both have helped Phryne with her cases.Book Phryne&Girls are much better than TV Phryne&Girls #700Club

Little Women | Louisa M. Alcott

One of my favourite literary mother and daughter(s) pair is Marmee and her four daughters. While the father is sent away in the war, Marmee is the backbone that holds the family together during trying times. She's inspiring, emotionally strong, a hard worker and is always there to listen to the girls. And the girls adore her. 🙂💛

Liatrek I agree I really loved how Maddy interacted with her mom. Even in the end it was really handled beautifully by the author and didn't fall into the cliche mother and daughter issues. 7y

Joy Luck Club (Bound for Schools & Libraries) | Amy Tan

When I thought of #motherdaughter love in fiction, joy luck club immediately popped in mind. I'm not sure which mother-daughter pair is my favorite, but lindo and waverly stand out in my mind. May be due for a reread and rewatch. #700club
