Bonded in Death | J. D. Robb

This is #60 in the 'In Death' series and I have read and immensely enjoyed all of them. This one was particularly good and gave us more of Summerset's back story. It also had a wonderfully satisfying ending. If you like police procedurals with strong female characters I highly recommend them, but start with the first - “Naked in Death“. Don't let the 2060 setting scare you, these are not Sci-FI. Thanks to Edelweiss+ for the digital ARC. 5/5

Bookish Song #60: Dear Reader - Peggy

(Not the Taylor Swift song)

Still reading this book, but already found a song for it. The atmosphere in both just matches. Gentle, soft, dreamy 💜
My bookish bestie who's reading the book with me, agrees 🩷

So much trauma, but written so well that I don‘t feel gutted by it. Molly doubts herself constantly and yet she‘s really quite brilliant. This was a very intriguing psychological thriller with a great ending. I def thought Posey‘s killer was someone else!!! Book #60 in 2024

I like a good dual POV story line, but these women were annoying. Livvy put up with more than normal women would. Anna was infuriating, I would‘ve been demanding my family immediately instead of going home with someone who was a stranger to me. But then I figured it all out. Not a gripping psychological thriller, but somewhat decent. I feel like I‘ve read something similar but can‘t put my finger on it. Book #60 in 2023

Book #60 of the year! I'm feeling generous: 3⭐️

It was fine, but I could have done without the romance bit. I thought Carmen's growing bond with her family and her time helping "young" Mr. McCredie in the bookshop were far more endearing and believable plotlines. There was some humor, particularly when the children were involved.

I very much enjoyed the Edinburgh setting, particularly since I have been and could envision it all in my head. ❤️?

23 #60 I enjoyed this book a lot. So much more than I expected. At times thought provoking.
