Byatt incorporates multiple types of documents to create a dual timeline of love and secrets. It‘s a very detailed read, and I think at some point I will have to reread this to fully intake the multiple layers. Hooked_on_books I feel like a good ending is the marker of a really good writer. Too many books don‘t have a good ending, and I love it when it‘s well done. I‘ve never read her, which I should probably rethink! 7mo

Loved this book! It was funny and eye-opening, describing species that are near extinction and the heroic efforts to save them.

While visiting the Museum of Natural History in Oxford a couple of days ago, I saw an exhibit on the kakapo, one of the animals featured in the book!

I‘m finishing off the #20in4 readathon at 8 hours and 15 minutes. Thanks @Andrew65 for hosting!

Published in #1990 by prolific #sci-fi #fantasy author #PiersAnthony known for his #Xanth Series. Used to own a copy, but lost nearly half my collection in house #fire in 2015.

If you like smart, yet graphic horror I highly recommend.

NOTE: includes graphic descriptions of Gore and sex

bookcollecter Yes! He is very prolific....nearly 200 novels/novellas I believe. He has some other great horror series as well like the #incarnationsofimmortality series. 6y
