Septmeber #QueerBC author is here and it is Becky Chambers!

Sorry for the delay, everything seems to be ok now so I'm playing catch up.

You can read anything written by this author. If you've read them before, drop a recommendation in the comments.

Read4life New to me author. 🤓 7mo
PuddleJumper @Read4life I've only read one book. I think it's all sci Fi or at least sci Fi leaning 7mo

Faranae @PuddleJumper All sci-fi, but not “hard“ sci-fi - humans are the focus. “A Psalm for the Wild-Built“ and its sequel “A Prayer for the Crown-Shy“ are the most fantasy leaning (aside from the robots, most of the tech in it is just incremental improvements on stuff we already have, or is the same tech but with a fantastical material; the setting is a moon of a distant planet). 7mo
willaful I've read virtually all of hers, I'm going to have to find a short story. :-)

I loved To Be Taught, if Fortunate and A Psalm for the Wild-Built (both novellas, if you're pressed for time.) My favorite is A Closed and Common Orbit, but I seem to be an outlier there.

lil1inblue A new to me author, but one that's been on my tbr! I'm excited. 7mo
Zuhkeeyah @willaful A closed and common and orbit was also my favorite of that series 🥰 7mo
peanutnine I've read most of her work but I still need to finish her Wayfarer's series. I only have The Galaxy and the Ground Within left. I've also been eyeing rereading the Monk & Robot books because they're just so comforting 🥰 7mo
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian I have read all her books already! Obviously I love her work. I'd recommend starting with A Pslam for the Wild Built, if I had to choose just one. If you don't want to start a series, To Be Taught, If Fortunate is her only one that's not part of a series and it is great, although plot-wise the Wayfarers books can be read as standalones too. 7mo
BookmarkTavern Love all her work! I‘m definitely going to revisit something of hers. 💖 7mo
Jari-chan I've wanted to read her books for such a long time now, and it finally happens! 7mo
DebinHawaii I loved A Psalm For the Wild-Built & will join in & read A Prayer for the Crown-Shy. 6mo
