Dexter is still wickedly funny, which is the most important reason for me to continue listening. When he stops being funny, I stop listening.

The absurdity of the killings that Dexter and Deborah are investigating made this very entertaining. Bodies are showing up in elaborate displays at famous tourist locations in the city. There are a few tense moments in this one that I wasn't expecting and Dexter has been reunited with his Dark Passenger which keeps things interesting.

Dexter has a #Secret identity that gets harder to hide.
12-23-21: My 129th finished book of 2021! Book 4 in the series. Dexter and Rita, his new wife, have returned from their honeymoon in Paris. And Dexter is ready to get back to what he does best, killing. But, he has to train Rita‘s children in his dark arts, help his stabbed sister find her assailant, find the man who is artfully arranging bodies around Miami, and try to not get caught in the middle of it all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍🏼📖#️⃣1️⃣2️⃣9️⃣
This one fell flat for me. I didn't enjoy the story, it didn't pull me in. It just wasn't exciting in any way. Lots of repetition and a dumb behaving Dexter.
This was my June #doublespin.

Of course, for some bizarre reason, we don‘t have a National Registry of Who Your Friends Are. One would have thought that they would have made that a vital part of the Patriot Act, and rammed it through Congress.
