Daughter of Time (The After Cilmeri Series prequel)
Daughter of Time (The After Cilmeri Series prequel) | Sarah Woodbury
9 posts | 15 read | 14 to read
Sarah Woodbury is my new favorite author. Daughter of Time reminds me of Outlander and 1632, with a fresh twist. I read all the books in the After Cilmeri series in four days! Long after I finished the last book, the stories and characters stayed in my mind, and I kept wishing I could return the world Sarah so skillfully created. I can't wait for the next book and the next ..." -- Debra Holland, NYTimes bestselling author of the Montana Sky Series. _________ Daughter of Time is appropriate for readers from young teens to adults and is a prequel to the After Cilmeri series: A medieval man with an uncertain destiny, Llywelyn, the Prince of Wales, faces treachery and deceit at the hands of friends and foes alike ... A modern woman with a troubled past, Meg's life is in tatters when she slips through time and into medieval Wales ... Only by working together can Meg and Llywelyn navigate the shifting allegiances that threaten the very existence of Wales--and create their own history that defies the laws of time. **A note from the author: I am so happy to be able to share with you this prequel to the After Cilmeri series. I created Footsteps in Time and Prince of Time first, and only wrote Daughter of Time after so many readers wanted to know how the story began. Meg's journey is continued in Footsteps in Time and Winds of Time, a novella that is meant to be a companion to the series. Happy reading! Keywords: Wales, Prince of Wales, Medieval, Middle Ages, Britain, Romance, Time Travel, Historical Fiction, Historical Romance, Adventure, Young Adult, Teen, Welsh.

#BookReport: Nothing outstanding but good reads all. Luck of the Titanic was my #DoubleSpin. Caught up on Obama and ready for Part 5 in April. Audio is better.

#WeeklyForecast: Finish Silence of Girls today. I have 3 hours left of The Toll. I‘m about 25% into Whispering Door and am not connecting…maybe not the right time? May set it aside.

Been wanting to read Enchanted April for ages. Yay for #SundayBuddyRead with @TheBookHippie

CBee I agree the audio is MUCH better ♥️♥️ 3y

My husband‘s body lay cold on the table in front of me.

Just started the tagged book last night. First in a time travel series recommended by @Chrissyreadit quite a while ago. Think I‘m going to love it. 💜

I enjoyed this time travel/historical fiction/romance. The chapters alternated POV between Meg and Llywelyn. I did prefer the chapters from Meg‘s POV, due to being a woman, and being able to picture how one might react shifting in time from present day to the 13th century! I liked the pronunciation guide (for Welsh) at the start of the book. This is a prequel to a series, but I haven‘t (yet) read any of the rest of the series, though I plan to now

Always a day late 😂.
1. 🤔❤️🧳 honestly it‘s the tagged book and not sure I want to stick with it. Not enough time travel or romance for me- too much battle.
2. Maybe? The ones with stories.

TheSpineView No worries! 😊📚🌞 4y

@Texreader I can‘t remember if I ever posted this. I got the last few books when I got paid, so I‘m ready to go in this series. I guess I can start building my collection of the sigma force series. 🤣😂🤣 What‘s another series to get into? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I love this series and highly recommend it to any who likes time travel, alternative reality, historical fiction with some changes 🤣- but this is a fun read and FREE!!!

GingerAntics Have you read the prequel? The only review said it wasn‘t so good and I‘d hate to start off the series on a not as good book. 5y
Chrissyreadit @GingerAntics I liked it a lot. 5y
GingerAntics @Chrissyreadit okay, I trust you more than some random person on Apple Books. 5y

This was just, meh. A prequel to a series, written in order to give the story of two characters, should do just that. The relationship between these two main characters was so glossed over that it became too flat to become enjoyable.
