This is the second book in the Dreamblood series and it‘s at least twice as good as the first. This one was faster paced and more engaging. I loved it, definitely recommend.
A great, fantastic adventure. I really liked the relationship between the Prince and the female Sharer. The war was thrilling -souls were fought over. Like the first novel, a father is the evil tormentor- his children were abused and used as weapons. #AuthorAMonth @Soubhiville

Even though I just bought book one, and haven't read it yet, I couldn't pass this up when I stumbled across it. I hope book one is good.
pickThis is definitely not my favorite series by NK Jemisin. It‘s a little slow and the world is not as interesting as some of her others. But its still a solid pick, and very thought provoking! Triggers for child abuse.

pickThis was an incredible conclusion to the duology. Strong characters who grew on me through the course of the book, more of this fascinating cultural and magical world-building, and interesting politics. It seemed a slightly slow pace but I also have been in a weird reading mood so that might just have been my mood.
