Neuroscience of Personality: Brain Savvy Insights for All Types of People | Dario Nardi
3 posts | 1 read | 4 to read
" This is a practical guide. Learn how to target 'in flow' and 'low-threshold' activities that engage people creatively and improve their work-flow and learning. Identify people's struggles and stress areas, including 'high-threshold' activities for which a person may avoid or do poorly. You will also enjoy a bird's eye view that summarizes many key aspects of the brain all in one place, in everyday language with case studies, work spaces, and visual maps. “Though sensitive, Defenders have excellent analytical abilities; though reserved, they have well-developed people skills and robust social relationships; and though they are generally a conservative type, Defenders are often receptive to change and new ideas.”

Too noisy to be outside to research, but there is a beautiful breeze 🌞 ~ Extremely helpful book, and an informative interdisciplinary study! ~ #Day23 #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge #ReadingOutside #bookphotochallenge ~ @RealLifeReading @TheSpinecrackersBookClub

MrBook Interesting... 8y
bmsddk @MrBook It is! As a writer, I'm using it to gain perspective for character development. 8y
MrBook A fellow writer! Alright 😁👏🏻🙌🏻! #KindredSpirits 8y

bmsddk @MrBook 😃 What do you write? 8y
MrBook I freelance, usually as a ghostwriter. I've helped magazine and newspaper and journal articles, speeches, excerpts in books, advertisements, blog posts. I've had some items in my own name: a poem here and there, articles, currently writing a book that will be a companion piece for a tv show currently in the works that will eventually be airing on one of the big channels, it's about the paranormal. Yourself? 8y
bmsddk @MrBook Wow, that's an impressive resumè!!! I'm just starting out as a writer, working on a sci-fi book series (though I also have a blog where I occasionally post poetry and short creative prose). What about writing encouraged you to pursue it? 8y
MrBook Ooh, if you ever need a beta-reader, do let me know. @BookBabe likes to do it as well. Writing's what I was born to do ?. I was reading at 2 or 3, and writing "books", lol, at 5. Been writing ever since, though ironically I could never keep a journal going--go figure. 8y
bmsddk @MrBook Thank you so much, that would be incredible! I will let you and @BookBabe know as I near that stage ☺ Writing certainly seems to be your calling. What types of pieces do you most enjoy writing (not personal journals, that's for sure, haha)? 8y
MrBook Not really sure, as I've not tried them all yet 😊. I'm not a fan of newspaper writing: writing within a set character limit is fine, but just parroting the bare bones lacks humanity. I like writing poetry for its profundity, and novel composition allows for the best experimentation. Short stories force one to get a message across pithily, while blogging provides the most freedom with no one reprimanding you over ever hair capable of splitting. ☺️ 8y
