For Christmas my husband got me a night alone in a hotel. I of course brought plenty of reading material. Feeling refreshed.

Nute Love this type of moment for revitalization! You have a very thoughtful partner!🙂 Merry Christmas, Blaire!💚🌟♥️ (edited) 3y

Blaire @Nute @tamra @TrishB @jhammar it was a much needed respite from the chaos of life with 2 kids. This introvert got some much needed me time and now I‘m happy to be back with the fam. 3y

Pickpick

I had very mixed reactions to this book. There were parts which were intriguing and mind stretching, where I couldn't wait to see how the story would develop and there were lots of rabbitholes to go down and then there were parts where the ornate poeticism just made feel I couldn't take much more and want to give it up. I'm really not sure whether pick or pan is appropriate, but apparently I have to choose something, so pick

So true for most of us 😀

VioletBramble I have to get to the Aegypt cycle some day. I love the way Crowley writes but his books take me a long time to read. I feel pressure to move books off my shelves and tend to go for easier reads. 7y
rwmg As you can see, one of them was enough for me. I bailed on the second. 7y

I thought this was the whole tetralogy in one ebook but it's just the first volume.

Another new word for me, yegg

VioletBramble I learned the word yegg back in the 1970s from a Scholastic magazine. Never forgot it. Sadly, the word is not recognized by Words With Friends. 8y
rwmg It would be useful, wouldn't it? 8y
