I really wanted to love this book.... but I just got annoyed. I‘m thinking it‘s me and not the book. Hopefully the next book is better because I‘ve heard lots of praises for this series! 🌟🌟🌟

Relaxing while Matty sleeps. Thank goodness it‘s Friday! 😀
Finally getting around to starting this series. Thanks to @MicheleinPhilly reviews I decided it was time! 😀
I needed to find something to fill the Kim Stone sized hole in my heart and this fit the bill. It felt a bit clunky in the early pages but found its groove. I definitely read too many of these books though because I found myself thinking, “Look for a _____!” from the jump. 🕵🏻♀️ I look forward to continuing. #StartASeries #SeriesRead2021
Gritty, often humorous, detective series set in Manchester. Love Jessica, she‘s in line with the bad ass woman criteria.

My #WeeklyForecast under the new rules:
No gatherings of 10 or more people, only medical centers, food markets and pharmacies are open otherwise all is closed!
It‘s a good time to be a reader or Netflix binger.
I‘m not sure if bookclub will be meeting 🤷🏼♀️
Staying positive is my mode of defense 💚
From the 4 books I‘m in the midst of, I‘m only drawn to the 9/11 audio which is incredibly moving 💔
Body is found in a locked house. DS Jessica Daniel has to find killer & how they got in & out. A 2nd body shows up, identical circumstances to the first. What, if anything, links the bodies? I found this to be a very good debut novel from Kerry Wilkinson. Started slow but soon I was quickly turning the pages. Kept me guessing until the very end. Suspenseful & clever writing. I'm look forward to reading the next book in the series. Recommended.
I‘m finally getting around to catching up on some of my books from NetGalley. I just finished this one tonight and it was very good! I really like the character of Detective Jessica Daniels and I am interesting in continuing the series!
Getting some quality reading in on this rainy Friday evening- and with a book off of my own shelves!
I'm not great at giving book summaries, but here goes...Jessica Daniels is a detective sergeant in Great Britian investigating a series of murders where the victim is found locked inside their homes and no obvious point of entry or exit from the killer. Daniels is baffled and frustrated...the course of the investigation also leads her to realize new things about herself and her mentors. Overall, pretty good read, looking forward to the next book
British read, titled Locked In there, The Killer Inside here. I'm reading this one on my kindle...I usually have one going on my kindle while a reading a hard back at home. Makes it easier to always have a book in some form with me at all times! Lol. 29% in, pretty decent read.
I've not posted on Litsy for over a month and decided I needed to slap some sense into myself and get back to all the lovely bookishness from you wonderful #LitsyLot and I've just spent the last few hours catching up on my reviews for #NetGalley, 24 done and I'm now up-to-date, phew 😅
This was a crime fiction/police procedural/thriller novel packed with action, tension, and a well developed lead character that you can‘t help but root for. The various subplots taking place added to the story in a nice way without being distracting and unnecessary, I especially enjoyed Jess and Garry‘s scenes and the way she teased him.
