This book was a fun read! An exciting book and a cliffhanging ending! Excited to dive into the next one!
Finally a chance to read! Babysitting and got the kids in bed! #summersendreadathon @Clwojick it‘ll be nice to read this one again!
#summersendreadathon goals I would like to re read Children of Eden and read Elites which I just got!! I also plan to get to my new local library and see what books they have there and just read daily! I‘d like to finish 4 books read and maybe 1-2 audio getting some gym time in! So excited to have a week off! @Clwojick
This was a pretty standard dystopic/sci fi ya book about what happens after humans destroy the earth and overpopulation is regulated by only allowing families to have one child. Rowan is a “second child,” a twin to her brother. I was hopeful for a little more and it had some elements I like which I will take with me to try the next book, Elites of Eden.
This was a really fast paced dystopian YA thriller that I enjoyed. It had a good arc and the story really moved. Strong characters and really great on audio. Definitely interested to see where it goes!
I absolutely love dystopian future novels. This one, however, did not blow me away. I think it was the elementary writing style (hey, I know it‘s YA). I loved the beginning of the book. I love the character development of Rowan. In the end, I felt disappointed and did not feel the urge to go out and buy the second book in the series. Would recommend if you are new to dystopian future novels. I just kept wanting more and this didn‘t deliver.
3.5 Stars
Although it features a typical, post-apocalyptic dystopia, although it isn't completely original, is a bit predictable and pretty slow, but it is an entertaining read. It has great development of important ecological themes
The writing was not very strong, but the storyline was excellent. If you like post-apocalyptic type books this is a great choice!
Excited to see what this book has in store! #newbeginnings
I‘m not a big fan of dystopians but this book was actually really interesting. I had my issues with it so I gave it a 3.5/5 stars. But since reading it I‘ve been finding myself thinking about it so I do plan on getting the next one!
207/278 pages into this book and it‘s pretty good. I‘m not big on dystopians bc they make me angry but I‘m not too mad with this one. I just don‘t like the way dystopian governments control the world. My kitty is keeping me company though. Hopefully I‘ll finish this tonight or at least by tomorrow night so I can start my May tbr!
I love this book. It had so much action. I felt at times like the sentence development was lacking, and the description of events was not very engaging. Other then that the overall plot and characters I loved. I also read the second book of this series (the day after I finished the first, I just had to find out what happened!). It was also very good, and left on a cliff hanger. Can‘t wait for a third book!

Loved this book! Read it my first few days at a new school probably the only thing that kept me sane and not anxious since I was in a room of people I didn't know. The characters are amazing and the story had me shook. Definitely going to reread soon! #childrenofeden #joeygraceffa
Currently reading this one. It's a nice quick read. Almost 50 pages in. While I rewatch OUAT.

"Why on Earth then do some people have so much, some so little? It makes no sense."
Humans have destroyed Earth (surprise surprise) and the survivors live in Eden, a synthetic bio-dome, for lack of a better term. As an illegal second child Rowan has had to hide her existence for her entire life. Until she meets others like her and she realizes things in Eden aren't what they seem. A good YA that will definitely have a second book, possibly a series. Quick read.
I liked this book a lot. It fit a lot of ya dystopian tropes, but there were a few places where it took a surprising turn. I am a sucker for ya dystopia in a dome so this was right up my alley.
I loved how the book was written. I couldn't put it down!! It was such a captivating and fresh story. The only thing I didn't love was the ending. I understand it was probably (most likely) hinting that there's a sequel coming. I just was thinking of a happier ending. But if there's a sequel, I'll definitely read it. I've been a supporter of Joey for the longest time and I loved this book!!
