Jenzy: I love my husband, but he doesn't see me anymore. We were college sweethearts and for seven years I've been his wife. Five of those years were bliss; the last two have been a long fall from grace. He's the love of my life, the sexy and smart man I saw my future with, but now I don't think he sees it too. I'm tired of not being seen, I'm tired of not being heard, and I'm tired of being in love alone. I was his optimistic hippie girl that he couldn't get enough of. Now I'm just his annoyance. So I told him, I finally found the backbone and this is our story.... Chris: My wife just told me she wants a divorce. What the hell do I say to that? I thought we were fine-, well fine is a bad word, I thought we were okay. Doesn't matter what I think because she's moving out and I can't really let this happen. Yeah, she annoys me, we're total opposites, but I knew that when I met her, she hasn't changed...maybe I have? I was her anchor, her safety, her home. Now I'm that guy that's wrecked her and there are plenty of men willing to repair the damage I did. So I have a plan. Find out what happened to change my affection for her within the last two years, and win her back before someone else does, because I still love her, and she still loves me....I guess....

I‘m trying to help my sibling with resources to understand the law regarding custody and assets. Are there any good books or websites to help with this? Grateful for any information!!! They live in Oregon. (And the legal battle is confusing and very ugly).

LibrarianRyan There should be a NOLO guide specific to their state. 5y
Chrissyreadit @LibrarianRyan what is NOLO? 5y
wanderinglynn They can check out the Oregon State Bar association‘s page. It has resource, as well as lawyer referrals: https://www.osbar.org/public/ 5y

wanderinglynn Nolo publishes do-it-yourself legal books and provides information on state laws. www.nolo.com 5y
wanderinglynn But for custody issues, which can get complicated & emotionally overwhelming, I‘d recommend getting a lawyer. The Oregon bar has resources. They can probably also check with the court too. When I worked for a court, we provided pro bono attorneys to those that qualified and also had a list for referrals. (edited) 5y
Chrissyreadit @wanderinglynn thank you! He has an attorney but does not always get clear information or answers although he is highly rated. His soon to be ex has been creating some crazy problems that he has paid for including mediation, then after thousands of dollars changes her mind and “requirements”. My brain hurts. They both make affordable livings. I‘m worried about my nephew, and to be honest she has always tried to keep us away from them-no love lost 5y
wanderinglynn That‘s too bad. Your poor nephew. 💔 Custody & divorce are about the hardest cases because of all the emotion. I hope his attorney starts giving him better answers—I would keep asking questions to the attorney until he gets the info he needs. 5y
LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit they make general legal books and how to books. They are great for forms or getting to know what ma happen. https://store.nolo.com/products/?utm_content=sYhxcT6Qa_dt|pcrid|342544757902|pkw... 5y
