Using TV transcripts of Miri, Penny & other students/faculty, excerpts from Fatima's 2nd book, & a 4-part series Soleil wrote for a magazine, the book recollects the recent history of these besties who adopt new student Jonah soon before they befriend fave author, Fatima Ro. She secretly writes them all into her next novel. Jonah‘s flattered by his portrayal, but doesn't notice parallels to the past he was trying to leave behind at his old school.

I was so disappointed with this one. If you‘re going to write multiple-POVs, make them have their own separate voice. This was an interesting plot that could have been done really well by a stronger writer. â­�ï¸�
