Erin leaves notes in the margins of her books and James finds one of her books in a LFL and decides to respond. They haven't met, but they grow closer with every book they share.
Don't let the cute cover fool you. This isn't a cutesy romance. The book focuses on grief, survivor's guilt, mending fences with family and friends, finding yourself,...
Do you ever read a book that you automatically picture becoming a movie? That's what this one was for me. Scenes playing out in my head with impeccable detail thanks to the writing. The grief and mental health topics land hard enough to make me wish this book had a different cover. The cartoony graphics often make me assume it's a light romcom. First portion definitely gave me You've Got Mail x "Meet Me In The Margins" (Ferguson) vibes.
Ooops! I may have 'accidentally' wandered into another bookstore this week! 🤭 In any case, here is my haul! 💕📚
Can a book be your friend?
Erin definitely thinks so.
We follow Erin and a mystery man as they go back and forth writing in books and carrying on with something similar to having a pen pal.
It was fun, but very confusing and not a book I was anxious to get back to.

My goodness! This debut was nearly perfect! Heartbreakingly honest, romantic, sad, and hard to put down. These characters are dealing with tough challenges, grief, mental illness, complicated families, and painful histories but they manage to get through to the other side with the support of others and a love of literature. It was so moving and hard to believe this was Bickers‘ first novel. I can‘t wait for the next! Releases 9/2 #netgalleygroup
