Bookshops & Bonedust meets Our Flag Means Death in this cozy fantasy on the low seas, where lesbian pirates find out if enemies actually can become lovers! Kianthe and Reyna are on the hunt for dragon eggs to save their hometownbut it requires making a deal with Diarn Arlon, lord of the legendary Nacean River. Simply capture the river pirate Serina, whos been plaguing Arlon's supply chains, and bring her in for justice. Easy peasy. Begrudgingly, the couple joins forces with Bobbie, one of Arlons constables determined to capture the pirate. Except Bobbie and Serina have a more complicated history than anyone realized, and it might jeopardize everything. While Kianthe and Reyna watch this relation-shipwreck from afar, it quickly becomes apparent that these disaster lesbians need all the help they can get. Luckily, matchmaking is Reynas favorite pastime. The dragon eggs may have to wait. At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

This is a fun cozy fantasy series and I enjoyed spending time with Reyna, Kianthe, and their griffins. There‘s plenty of adventure, painful puns, a bit of a body count, and of course, pirates. It took awhile to really get going, but overall it was enjoyable. I‘m making allowances for the pacing to simply be a personal problem focusing thanks to the dumpster fire of life right now.

2nd book in Tomes & Tea series

Reyna and Kianthe are still looking for the dragon eggs. Their search gets backburnered though, when they arrive at Diarn Arlon's estate just as the pirate who's been stealing food by the boatloads strikes again. They agree to help Arlon's constable to catch the pirate and soon find out that constable Bobbie and pirate Serina used to be childhood friends now turned enemies. ⬇️

julesG Can Reyna and Kianthe turn the story of the pirate and the constable into an enemies-to-lovers romance?

Puns abound in this novel and I loved each and every one of them. I'm here for the next adventure!

"To the people who gave me one-star reviews because the first book 'had lesbians.' I doubled the lesbians in this one. Just for you."

AnnCrystal 👏Book one was incredibly good...yikes! 📚💝. Hope the next book has more dragons scenes 🐲💝. 1mo
rwmg If the author doubles the number of lesbians each time she gets a 1-star review, your mission is clear 😜 1mo
julesG @rwmg good idea! Thanks will keep it in mind for my review 1mo

Loved this second part even more than the first one. The characters are so lovely, I loved spending time with them. Then there's Pondie and pirates and a great example of how a healthy relationship looks like. What's not to love? ❤

I'm officially obsessed with cozy fantasy. Kianthe and Reyna are adventure couple goals. Plus, little Ponder was adorable.

Please share your cozy fantasy recommendations! These are bringing me joy.

BookmarkTavern I enjoyed this one a lot! 3mo

Love this 😁😁

Bookbuyingaddict Why do people do that ? 😨it‘s like all the non readers giving j k Rowling books 1 star or rotten reviews because she defended her own sex , and now she‘s been vindicated after mis prescribing hormonal puberty blockers were given to children who were “unsure” and had their lives ruined , doctors now struck off in the uk. Why is it we demonise those who dare to speak out , and why now all the hatred & violence towards girls & women 😢 (edited) 4mo
Jari-chan @Bookbuyingaddict Her books don't deserve 1 star ratings because they are good and got so many people into reading. But what Rowling says about trans people is just not true and makes living for them even more difficult. Puberty blockers and hormone therapy can save lives and are needed by those people. Trans women are women and trans men are men. 4mo
