But out of the blue, she sees himJosh, her first husband. Is this just a hallucination from the guilt June carries about finally moving on, or is it possible that her husband never died in the first place? June tries to forget about this vision, chalking it up to grief and nerves, but soon enough, she stumbles across a website for a winery in Napa, and the owner in the photo is identical to her dead husband. With her upcoming wedding looming and a fianc whos already worried she hasnt quite left her past behind, June secretly flies to Napa for answers. Light Pick. 3.5⭐
⬗ A semi-intriguing mystery mixed with an awkward romance that ended unenthusiastically. But then the epilogue happened, and I thought, “Okay, maybe it wasn't too bad after all.”
⬗ The narration by Cassandra Campbell, Caitlin Davies, and Jeremy Carlisle Parker was good.

Both a love letter to California wine & a family drama, Flynn‘s latest is my favorite of hers so far! Dual narrators & timelines with plenty of drawn out secrets & cliffhangers make it easy to justify just one more chapter! In 2022, widow June is finally ready to move forward from her 6 month whirlwind romance & elopement to Josh Kelly. In 1999, Bev Kelly‘s life as wife, mother & winemaker is upended after the discovery of a receipt. Twisty& fun!

Mehso-so

I got really into the story early on, even though it was a little bit slow for my taste (I neglected all my other reads for a day). About halfway in, things started to get a little messy...and then it turned into CRAZY messy!

What turned this into a lower rating than I thought I was going to give this book was the last 2 chapters. I just had a hard time believing the whole thing and again, it just felt like too much.

3.5 ⭐️ #arc
