spent yesterday morning rereading an old favorite, it's not a perfect collection & there are definitely some pieces that are better than others but I have so many memories attached to this that I can't help but love it

This book wasn't what I thought it would be, but I like what it is. There are so many things here that young women (and men) need to hear. I think it would be most enjoyable for 13-17 year old budding feminists. #poetrybreak

I thought this would be an encouraging "it's okay to feel things!" book, but mostly it's making my empathic/anxious self want to cry and hug my babies while they're still little.
