The latest in a unique series with one foot in the 1860s and the other in the present day. The Rip Through Time crime novels are a genre-blending, atmospheric romp.

Armstrong‘s one of my favorite authors & the latest installment in the #ARipInTimeSeries doesn‘t disappoint! It opens with an invitation to a mummy unwrapping—& while the modern woman inside Mallory recognizes how problematic this macabre party is, she‘s no longer in 2019 & it‘s not frowned upon in her new life in the body of a Scottish housemaid in 1869. Of course, it‘s also the perfect backdrop for another murder to investigate! A fun series!

CoffeeK8 I love this author so much, but I feel like I have to pause every couple books 1w
TorieStorieS @CoffeeK8 I do sometimes like to wait to binge her series novels a few at a time! But this series is too much fun to wait on! 1w

Disturbing The Dead

I usually don't read many time travel books but these have been so good. This author has go beyond the realm of what my imagination looks forward to and I've enjoyed this series very much.

This third installment in a time travel series (from modern day to 1890s) finds our heroine (a modern-day homicide detective in the body of a Victorian Scotland housemaid), settling into her new position as assistant to an undertaker/medical examiner. After attending the unwrapping of an ancient mummy, in which something goes horribly wrong, they become involved in unraveling the hows/whys. There‘s also a surprise twist towards the end that 🔻

robinb tests Mallory‘s resolve about how she‘s envisioned her future.
I love seeing the evolution of Mallory as she navigates her new life and how those around her perceive/accept her. Also there‘s an abundance of humor which is always a plus.
Really enjoying Armstrong‘s books. 4.5/5⭐️
