The plot pulled me in faster than expected. I found the FMC a bit whiny and overly emotional, but I liked her previous and current love interests. Her previous being used as a deus ex machina was a bit too convenient. The descriptions of Paris and other European countries were immersive, and the cat-and-mouse game with high stakes was addictive. Entertaining popcorn thriller with surface-level info on blood antiquities for a light pick!

Sneaking in on the final minutes of #FirstLineFridays.
“At Nice‘s Côte d‘Azur Airport, the pretty woman coming down the jetway looked like every other bleary-eyed traveler.”

This is a light, entertaining thriller set in Paris amongst the world of valuable antiquities. When Stella's husband goes missing after an explosion, his secrets are revealed and Stella questions just who she has been married to for four years. While the twists were predictable, it made for a fun, easy read...perfect to pack on vacation, especially if you are lucky enough to be going to Paris. Thanks to Edelweiss+ for the digital ARC. 3.75/5

Another wonderful thriller/mystery from Kimberly Belle. She is one of my favorite authors. I always want to read her new books. I know I won't be disappointed. This just might be the best one yet.

What kind of business was Adam in?

How could his wife Stella not know?

Adam and Stella were taking a three-week European vacation that ended in Paris with an explosion that rocked the entire area they were in.

Stella is stunned but unharmed, but where is Adam?

You will find out all the answers in Ms. Belle‘s tension-filled newest.

She never disappoints. 5/5
