The glossary contains the terms homosocial/heterosocial/bisocial, being descriptors of gendered orientations of friendship, and I guess the film "When Harry Met Sally" is an exploration of whether heterosocial relationships can exist independently of romantic and sexual relationships (the film suggests they can't: I don't agree, although I do like the film). It's an otherwise novel concept for me, and got me wondering if asocial or demisocial ⬇️
I bought this last year with good intentions of reading it soon, but... ?? However, I'm attending the Person-Centred Association GSRD (gender, sexual and relationship diversity) 2023 conference next Saturday and Sam Hope is giving the keynote speech, "Therapist encounters with autistic trans people," which I'm really looking forward to, so NOW is the time to read their book! ?️??️⚧️?♾️
