This week has been a roller coaster but I‘ve been enjoying this book on my work drive.

I‘ve been listening to this book and I just got to a part that makes me want to sit in my car, never mind that it‘s below freezing outside.

I went with my family to see Bentleyville tonight. This is my nephew being silly inside a huge ornament of lights.

This was Book #38—an ARC I picked up a couple of years ago at BEA—in my quest to read down my TBR pile by 50 books. Set in 1907 New York, it‘s the story of Dr. Genevieve Summerford, a newly minted doctor (psychiatrist to be exact). One of her patients is accused of murder. Was it Summerford‘s advice? Is the woman actually the perpetrator? A dash of mystery, an old flame, NYC in the early 1900s & you have a fun story. Good but not great.

Book one of 2018 complete! Enjoyed it not just for the who done it, but also for the psychological mystery. First time using the Libby app. Loved it. Perfect for vacation!

Ok, gotta buckle down now. I‘m leading a discussion on this book on Wednesday, meaning I really should finish it. I‘ve enjoyed the few chapters I‘ve read so far!

I promise, I wanted to like this book. I tried, I got halfway through, and realized I didn't like any of the characters, and didn't really care if they solved their problems or not. Which is a pity, because it had so much potential!

Enjoyable mystery set during the Progressive Era in NYC. A young female doctor has just started a psycho-therapy practice when one of her patients is accused of murder.

This, exactly. Trained as a counselor, I can tell you.... everyone wants to know you understand, really understand, their pain. This book is promising.
