It‘s not particularly Christmas-y, and I didn‘t really start to enjoy it until close to the end. I just never fell in love with the main character

⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a cute Friends/Sex and the City-esque Christmas story. I liked how there was a focus on friendship, which I haven‘t come across as much as romance in holiday novels. The characters did kind of get on my nerves sometimes and I didn‘t fully believe in their relationships, so it didn‘t quite make my Grinchy heart grow three sizes.🎧

Pickpick

This is a cute “found family” story featuring a group of people with family issues that choose to spend their Christmases together and end up being the dearest of friends. There is some romance in here, but the friendships are more prevalent. I liked it. I didn‘t particularly love the nonlinear aspect of the story-I couldn‘t keep up with the timeline at all. But when I ignored the time settings of each chapter, I ended up liking it. 👇🏻

intothehallofbooks I received an early digital arc of this title from Penguin Books & NetGalley in exchange for a review. However I had a hard time reading the arc due to font size, so I grabbed it from library as soon as it was available and was able to enjoy it that way. Thank you, Penguin! 13mo

This was so close to being something I really enjoyed, however, it missed the mark. I think the timeline jumping around throughout the story made it a bit hard to follow. But, there were a lot of good moments that brought a smile to my face. It was touching at times, almost making me cry, but then other times it was really fun. It seemed to have a little bit of everything in it. Yet, it wasn't completely satisfying. I kept waiting for more.

#currentlyreading 🎄

I was fortunate to get a digital arc of this one of this one a while back, but the print was too small even when I enlarged it 😭 Fortunately my library ended up getting a copy so now I can finally read it!!

About 1/4 thru and really enjoying it so far. Definitely has a “Christmas in the big city” feel to it.

TEArificbooks This is on my tbr for December 13mo
