The Wedding Planner
The Wedding Planner: A Novel | Danielle Steel
14 posts | 5 read
In this captivating novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Danielle Steel, a wildly successful, unmarried wedding planner leads her clients to happily ever after. Faith Ferguson is New Yorks most in-demand wedding planner, an arbiter of taste for elegant affairs, lavish ceremonies, and exclusive ftes. She appreciates a simple celebration as much as a dazzling event, for she knows that a dream wedding is not necessarily the most expensive one. As much as Faith enjoys her work, her two failed engagements leave her with no desire to get married herself. She finds fulfillment in her close relationship with her twin sister, Hope, her role as a mentor for her assistant, Violet, and her career. This year, new clients have flocked to her, and she signs up an extravagant reception, a mid-sized gathering, and an intimate soire, in addition to her mothers next marriage and Violets modest ceremony. Faith finds herself forming bonds with her new clients and their loved onesmost notably the handsome brother of one of her grooms. But weddings are not always all champagne and roses, and in no time, Faith is grappling with private quarrels, unplanned pregnancies, family scandals, dark secrets, and the possibility of cancelled ceremonies. Through her own journey, Faith will prove once and for all that there is not just one path to happily ever after. In The Wedding Planner, Danielle Steel presents an enchanting story about the winding road to love and the many ways to find joy while staying true to oneself.

1. I like to make lists. I also have a reading tracker to plan my TBRs every month. I had 67 Netgalley books on my Oct TBR but then my dog passed away on Oct 25 and that messed up the reading plan I had so I just mood read for the rest of the month. I‘m not in the mood to read any of those Netgalley books anymore so I‘m not adding them to any TBRs until I feel like reading them.

2. Tagged!

1. Yeah. My mom and I both do. Right now on our to-do list is trying to get our internet with AT&T up and running again since Hurricane Beryl knocked out our power and our internet last week. Our power is back on but we still don‘t have internet so I‘m using my cellular data to access the internet. I hope they fix it sooner rather than later. 😒

2. I really enjoyed the tagged book that‘s about a wedding planner.

I have always enjoyed Danielle Steele books but I do find them very predictable. They are usually a fast read and sometimes that is good. I did really like this book. It centered on Faith and 3 of the weddings that she planned. She grew attached to those couples and became involved in their lives in some way. It also included her twin sister and mother as characters. Overall this was a good story and I would recommend it.

This novel was a bit predictable but enjoyable! Themes of love, motherhood, twins, adoption, loss, and infidelity permeate. No two families are alike, and we create the family we want and need when the time is right. Great characters.

Penguin Random House sent me this email recommending books to me by Danielle Steel. I‘m currently reading The Wedding Planner. It‘s really good so far. This is the second Danielle Steel book I‘m reading. The first book I read by her is called The Ranch. That book was really good. I want to read more Danielle Steel. I own The High Notes and The Challenge because I preordered those but I haven‘t read them yet.

Tonight, I started this book. At first, I tried listening to it on audio but I didn‘t like the narrator so I turned off the audiobook and decided to just read my physical copy. I read the first chapter and I like this book so far. On May 2, this book went on sale but I received my preorder for this book on May 5. I don‘t usually read books I‘ve preordered right away. I usually let them sit on my shelf for months before deciding to read them.

Danielle Steel's writing has a way of grabbing you on the first page and reeling you in. She moves her books along at a fast place but with the careful attention to detail that makes it difficult to put down and anxious to get back to! I really enjoyed this story, The behind the scenes grit and drama that are covered up by picture-perfect fairy tale weddings. A sweet story of family, clients who become friends, weddings (cont in comments)...

TheHeartlandBookFairy weddings and babies, love, infidelity, drama, hurt, healing, and more love 💕 This book is a little predictable but thoroughly enjoyable. 2y
