At first I had mixed feelings about this one, but when I let myself start to think of it as skewing younger, more towards elementary than MG, I started to really enjoy it and think of kids I‘d recommend it to. #lmpbc

Group M, I want to apologize that I messed up the timing for our last #lmpbc round. I‘ve been really sick and haven‘t been able to read much or get errands done the last few months, and because the books somehow stacked up anyway this round I currently have all of them. I‘m sending them all out to @LibrarianRyan tomorrow, but there‘s really no excuse for me taking so long.
3 ⭐I had such a hard time getting into this book. Rutabaga is a chef, and they love to cook. But their love of cooking gets them mixed up in all sorts of adventures. Like plucking mushrooms off a long lost enchanted sword. Or following a Viking like clan as they defeat the creature that killed their queen. Overall this book was OK I just didn‘t care about it or the characters. I do have book 2 however I doubt I read it.
Kids‘ library haul this week
A graphic novel about a chef adventuring around for the perfect ingredients. Yes please! 🙋 AND corgi approved. 👍🐾
This series is perfect for fans of Bone and Zita the Spacegirl. ❤️🍽🍵
