A bitter spinster, an illicit love affair, a senile old man, a farmer haunted by guilt of the past.... Each was given attention with such tenderness ❣️

so-soThe Norwegian translation did this book no favors, but it also lacks tension and character depth. It's just too short to develop the characters properly, even though there's lots of potential. This is, overall, a very low-key story. If you want something mellow, this is a good choice!
I got the trial version of the first Norwegian book box, containing this and another book. It started a bit slow, but then came the mention of mysterious tragedies, so now I'm hooked! 😃
