Weekly Highlights
Tainna: The Unseen Ones, Short Stories by Norma Dunning
Prancing Novelist: In Praise Of Ronald Firbank by Brigid Brophy
Crampton Hodnet by Barbara Pym
A very entertaining read with some laugh out loud moments. This was published posthumously but is apparently one of Pym‘s earliest novels written during the first years of ww2. Foolish men , doughty women and love set in North Oxford. What‘s not to enjoy!
Before I start on Paula Byrne‘s wonderful biography of Barbara Pym I thought I should read a bit more of her work. Fortunately Crampton Hodnet turned up in my Christmas stocking!
Barbara Pym is the ultimate comfort read.
1. I do. I‘m not exactly proud of it but I always notice things like fonts and artwork. If it doesn‘t work visually it does influence me a bit.
2. Tagged
3. Digital versions of NY Times, CNN, Wash Post
4. Snooze!!
5. @Kaddele if you‘d like!

Classic Pym. What better compliment can I give than that?
Why do I get stuck for weeks on some books I like and others I can't put down? Bought this at Open Books today, halfway done already.
