Magical Mystery Tours
Magical Mystery Tours: My Life with the Beatles | Tony Bramwell
2 posts | 2 read
Tony Bramwell's remarkable life with The Beatles began in a post-war Liverpool suburb where he was childhood friends with John, Paul and George. By the time he unexpectedly ran into George Harrison on top of a bus, Tony was well into a life story absolutely unlike any other. At Apple Record's insistence, Tony stayed with The Beatles for every step of their meteoric rise. His story has been sought for over thirty years, and here it is, detailing with an insider's shrewd eye the incomparable success and inevitable failure of the Apple empire; Brian Epstein's frolics; Ken Kessy's Merry Pranksters; Phil Spector's eccentric behaviour; as well as never-heard-before stories about Yoko Ono. 'Magical Mystery Tours' reveals fresh insights that have never been published in any of the 800 plus books already on the market, including compelling details of the early recordings and songwriting and Yoko's pursuit of John and her growing influence over The Beatles' lives. From the first number one to the last and from scraps of song lyrics to the discovery of the famous Mr Kite circus poster, this is a broad ranging account of the swinging sixties and the decade's most successful rock band.

Yes, I read Beatles comics, watched The Beatles cartoon, owned (and still have) Beatle dolls. The mid-60‘s were a crazy time. Great memories. #PennyLane #HeyJune

Samplergal Yes they were. 6y
Theshadedbuffalo My youngest, who is not yet 5, has been watching A Hard Days‘s Night for the past three days in a row. He has his invisible friends, four of them, and they are John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Funnily enough, Ringo is the baby. He can also recognize (most of the time) which one is the lead vocals on a particular track. We‘re a Beatles family over here. 😬 6y
Cinfhen That‘s hilarious @Theshadedbuffalo 😂😂🙌🏻 6y

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is take my children on historical #tours. Antique shops, museums...whatever. They have fun and it makes for great memories. Pictured are some highlights from the past couple years 😊 Not bookish...but it's the best I've got 😂
Fun Fact: My son made me buy that damn doll. The owners were thrilled to see it go #creepyhaunteddoll

dsfisher My parents would take on educational trips. As my dad was in a wheelchair and this was before ADA, we were limited. One of my favorite trips was to a glass factory where they gave all of us an amazing tour. 7y
LeahBergen I love antiquing and any historical touring. And that doll is the stuff of nightmares! 😆😆 7y
FantasyChick It's terrifying @LeahBergen lol. And he has this habit of moving it around the house late at night so it pops out at us when we aren't expecting it. I hate that doll 😂😂 7y
CrowCAH I ❤️ family vacations; they‘re the best!!! Your trips look like a lot fun! 7y
