A fun road trip mystery adventure with a young woman and an old woman. I liked watching their relationship and how they helped each other along the way. Not a very complicated story but the plot was interesting and the writing was solid.

A fun light read with a friendship between an early 20‘s woman, Tanner, who is disgruntled with life after an injury ends her college soccer career, and Louise, an octogenarian who may be on the run from the law for a jewel theft and from an old enemy.
It‘s a little bit road trip story, a little bit friendship meet cute with two grouchy characters, and there‘s a smidge of romance.
I liked this, and the narration was very good.
Such a fun road trip, found family, unlikely friendship, caper! I adored Louise and loved the slow reveal of her past experiences that come back to upend this octogenarian's life.
This was a fun and funny roadtrip story. Twenty-one year old Tanner loses her college soccer scholarship and gets a job as a live-in driver/caregiver for eighty-four year old Louise. Before she knows what she‘s gotten herself into, she has snuck out of the house in the middle of the night with Louise for a cross country adventure of a lifetime. Some hilarious moments as each learn from one another and form an unlikely friendship.
I was so completely absorbed in this book that I missed all the warnings that the tide was about to wash over me. Don't worry, I saved my kobo in lightening speed. There is one thread that didn't get tied up at the end that is bothering me. This book got me out of a short 2 book slump as it was different from what I had been reading and it was engrossing.
Wanted to love this more than I did. Great idea! Louise - a woman in her eighties with a mysterious past - and Tanner - a 21-year-old who dropped out of college after an injury - become unlikely friends and go on an adventure together. Unfortunately, Tanner felt so flat and some choices she made (mostly stupidity needed to advance the plot) didn't feel true to character. (1/2)
A fun and funny summer romp. I loved these ladies, and I love a good madcap road trip!
What a romp! This was fun (and funny) and heartwarming and adventurous. With two wonderful female leads.
A fun story of an 81 year old woman, sharp as a tack, on the run with the assistance of a confused young adult just trying to figure out what to do with her life. A lighthearted and quick read.
I'm only a few chapters in but really enjoying this so far.
84 year old Louise is recovering from hip surgery and needs help getting to appointments. 21 year old soccer phenom Tanner needs money (and a break from her family) to get back to college after a career-ending injury. This is such a fun book—great characters, plot, and a road trip involving this unlikely pair, uncovering secrets along the way. And good humor!
I loved this! The MCs are 21 and 84 which pulled me in right away. The characters were charming and well-developed, and the story had a great flow. I didn‘t give thought to what might happen next because I was so entertained in the moment which then lead to surprises at each funny twist and turn. It‘s among my favorite reads this year!
Here are my Feb plans for #bookspin #doublespin. I am reading the tagged book now, so I may finish that before the end of this month. Most of these are beige or pink spines on my shelf.
