pickI loved this sweeping novel about family & friendship. At its heart is the mystery of the disappearance of Martin‘s wife, Cecilia. Rich with art & literature references, intricate as we follow Martin from youth to present day & full of Gothenburg & Antibes atmosphere. Complex characters & thought-provoking re Cecilia‘s absence. Erudite like The Hummingbird & compulsive as the Ferrante novels. Loved the satire of the (failing) art monster.
