Watch out, Internet! Babymouse is about to influence you in the next book in the Babymousetastic, highly illustrated Babymouse: Tales from the Locker series. Babymouse's whiskers are in a twist! Literally. She tries out a new style--the twist--and now everyone wants to know her whisker secrets. When she posts a tutorial online, it immediately goes viral. Babymouse is officially a whisker influencer! But being an online celebrity is no piece of cake! There are trolls, receipts, and tea that somehow gets spilled. Wut? Can Babymouse hold on to internet fame and keep her whiskers on point? And will someone please explain to her what all these words mean?!

Having the main character as a girl in the graphic novel may help draw more girls to the genre!

Babymouse: Queen of the World! by Matthew Holm and Jennifer L. Holm (2005) is a graphic novel about a mouse who dreams of being queen of the world, however after hearing about an exclusive slumber party thrown by one of her peers, she will settle to just be invited. The use of drawing and words help the funny story come to life!

I really enjoyed the art style of this graphic novel. It is simple, yet powerful with the way characters are displayed.

I think this book would speak to a lot of my students. Babymouse tries very hard to get to the popular girls sleepover and wants to fit in and be popular. But she hurts her loyal friends in the process and has to learn some big life lessons. My 4th graders are starting to go through the process of figuring out who they are and this book will help them understand they do not need to fit into a mold.

I've been meaning to start reading this fun and popular children's #graphicnovel series for over a year now. I wasn't disappointed. Babymouse is an imaginative and lively protagonist. While she makes mistakes through either clumsiness or inattentiveness, she tries to make things right when she's hurt friends. This is a great read for kids! #childrensbooks

I took the kids to the bookstore today to spend their gift certificates from Grandpa that they got for Christmas. My daughter made out like a bandit and has been reading all afternoon. 😀

The 20th book in the Babymouse series doesn't disappoint. This is exactly what I looked like when I learned the butterfly.
