I‘m in NYC with the protagonist, Bea as she ensnares rich blue blood Collin Chase. This is a #blameitonLitsy choice. Bea is a con artist, but the reader also roots for her. It‘s complicated.

There's not a lot of action in this; it's mostly the main character playing mind games and manipulating people. I mostly liked it, but then it kind of fell apart at the end.

Debut author - Bea is a Stone Cold Fox. She is beautiful, smart, and works very hard to be the perfect 10. She wants to marry rich, like the 1%, and she will do anything anything to snag the perfect husband. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A spicy, pulpy, rich people thriller that was exactly what I wanted it to be and exactly what I needed. There's no likeable characters here, but that's part of what makes it fun. What you see is what you get, and it is very entertaining.

I need another book that follows this one asap. I really liked this book and I was very quickly drawn into the story. I would definitely like to see more books that follow Bea and the new developments in her life.

A really fun debut that had my ears glued to the audio 😜 Bea is a hustler, a con artist raised by her grifter mom. Saw this book on IG and it seemed like fun….and so far…it is!!! A twisty thriller of a con artist looking to catch a multimillionaire #juicy 🍑

This gave me strong Samantha Downing vibes and I wouldn‘t have minded another 200 pages.

I can't deny it, this was a deliciously wicked popcorn read. I wanted something propulsive & page-turning & it delivered. The narrator Bea is utterly bitchy but is also depicted in a way that makes her a singularly likeable unlikeable narrator. Moreover it's undeniably dark, raising questions about class, cishet alpha femininity (for lack of a better term) or toxic femininity, & abusive mothers. This darkness makes for an uncomfortable read.

I wanted to like this more than I actually did because this felt like something I would love. Honestly, though, I had trouble connecting with the MC and the beginning felt like a super slow burn with a side of boring. But when the past and present timelines collide…things did pick up…and I was mostly there for it. But overall it was, admittedly, far-fetched.

It was fun to follow the narrative of the “villain” in this book. Bea had an intriguing voice and the flashbacks provided insights that rounded out her character. I was ultimately underwhelmed, though - some things were predictable, there wasn‘t as much suspense as I had hoped for, and the ending fell a bit flat for me. 🎧

So this one turned out to be a fun, yet thrilling, read! Some of it was a bit predictable but it didn't make it any less engaging. There a few good twists and turns but I wasn't shocked 😲 by anything that happened. Needless to say, it's definitely a fun and foxy read. I didn't love the MC but I did like the closure and redemption aspects that popped up. Overall, solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just got this new release to enjoy while I take a break from the deplorable American Psycho by BEE. I read The Shards and was eager to read some of his earlier works but it's a lot to take all at once so I'm breaking it up a bit with something fun, flirty, and fantastic! This is my favorite kind of guilty pleasure book and although I just started it, I'm intrigued. It's caught my attention and I can't wait to see what happens!
