This is the 8th book in the DI Ruth Hunter series. It is a definite page-turner. The characters are believable and I had a hard time putting the book down.

EadieB The plot pace kept me reading until the very end. Sian's death is keeping Ruth and Nick reeling. Ruth's search for Sarah is still going on and the excellent cliffhanger keeps us looking forward. Finn and Kat made for an empathetic Bonnie and Clyde type read. I'm looking forward to the next installment to check out what happens with Nick, Amanda and Georgia. If you love action thrillers then you will love this series. Check it out! 3y

This was a great read and got back to the true form of a classic detective hun t after a couple of books that felt more like all action thrillers. Some interesting developments in storylines for some of the characters, i feel very worried for Nick and the foolish choices he is about to make. Great to read this whilst staying in the area it was set. @EadieB @Tove_Reads

Started this one today from the excellent DI Ruth Hunter Series. Been in North Wales for the past week and am currently staying on Anglesey, even crossed over on the bridge today so perfect timing. @Tove_Reads @EadieB

The ending… Both things that happened 🫣 so yeah, yet another great read in the DI Ruth Hunter series! This book kept me hooked from the beginning, and the pace was just perfect. Really enjoyable read! I am a bit worried about Nick, and I‘m not talking about alcohol this time. I need to get my hands on the next book asap! Great detective and police procedural series that I highly recommend!
