Trying out Black Canary since I got off early today.

Definitely a character I'm growing to love. Really enjoyed the first volume - pretty kick- ass!

With the awesome titles from DC I've read lately, I expected more from this story. I found it a bit hard to connect with the new characters. Still, the art was excellent and dynamic. #comics

I'm not sure about the story yet (a 10 year old inexplicably plays guitar in Dinah's band?) but I am loving the art by Annie Wu.

Curled up with my cat and the silly quilt my grandmother made for me. Pippin wants me to stop with the photos so he can sleep. 😼

I really liked this! The art is on point and much different from what I've seen in most other comics (that I've thus read). And her outfits are always killing it tbh I wish I had her entire closet. ✨

What sweet nonsense is this? This is is why I both love and hate comics: anything is possible. They can make the far-fetched and/or ridiculous seem plausible. I'll keep reading this cause I'm interested enough (and I like this group of band mates and want to learn more about them)... But goodness, the shenanigans in this comic are just bizarre (although not the most bizarre I've ever read).

Didn't buy that no one knew who Dinah was. Loved the art and theme of female friendship. Ended up feeling so-so about it in the end.

Required reading for fans of Batgirl & Jem and the Holograms.

I still can't get on board with a rock star superhero.

This is about as close as Slick is gonna get to any canary. He's 17 years old! So the plot is as follows: Dinah- the lead singer of the band Black Canary- protects her band from the chaos of shows and fame ( brawls, pits, jerks, ninja, etc).

I love Annie Wu's art. And the colors! I want to frame all the pages as a gallery wall display. Kick-ass story to complete the package. I'll be getting Volume 2.
