#Top23of23 Honorable Mentions

I had a hard time deciding on my last few Top 23 spots! So many great reads this year. Any of these could have made it on another day.

Oh, and for my favorite audiobooks of the year, see my #12Booksof2023 posts.

Megabooks @Tamra I need to read that! It‘s been on so many people‘s lists! 11mo
Tamra @Megabooks it‘s heartbreakingly beautiful. But also horrifying how quickly war becomes the new normal. 11mo

Gorgeously illustrated graphic novel about a woman coming into her own personally and artistically. Really enjoyed.

A little #bookmail today! I‘ll be reading tagged graphic novel with my IRL book club next month. I‘ll link an article in the comments below where you can see some of the illustrations and read more about it. And really enjoyed Clarke‘s previous (Girl, 11) so excited to try her newest thriller.

Well this was delightful! This was my sort of bookclubs pick for this month - and I read it in one sitting!

Wasn‘t expecting to fly through the life story of a (fictional) female artist - from lost housewife to finding gradual fulfilment and recognition as an artist - reflecting on what was and is - and how certain people completely changed the course of her life.

Absolutely glorious, in mostly black and white with the odd dash of colour.

I loved the thoughtfulness of this GN about a (fictional) artist's life.
