As a lover of historical fiction, this novel was an enjoyable read. The book was set in Paris, and I learned a lot about this magnificent city's culture, its art, and its struggles, and about the painter's of this era. The character were excellently woven into this tale of struggle, perserverance, and cocmoradery.
